What does a PS4 Slim GPU compare to?

Well for one I would avoid buying a "Slim" console version; they are more prone to over-heat.
Even GameStop recommends against buying them.

It doesn't really matter what it compares to in a Desktop Gaming GPU, because you can't directly compare them. PS4 games are simply optimized for that strict hardware config; we don't get that in the PC realm of things.

I would never buy one myself, but my dad was looking into buying one because he no longer has a PC, so he wants a PS4 instead.

I'd recommend the PS4 model that released right before the Slim then. They are 3 basic models of the PS4 console; prior to PS4-PRO

Basically PS4 Gen1, Gen2, and then Slim

Can you ask him his acceptable price range; and yes, a range.. or a max you can't go over. Just keep in mind what they actually retail new for, if dont want anything 'used'

While in specs they compare to those, they are actually a bit weaker because of slower clockspeeds.
