How likely is it that i could bend the pins on a Ryzen 2600x? Im afraid to install it

Not likely i have bent pins just set the cpu in there it wont bend it and tighten the cooler till its snug overtightening that will bend pins

As long as you line it up properly, very little. Just match the arrow on the corner and place it in gently.

It's only likely if you grab it with pins against your palm and squeeze it.

Or drop it on the floor/table.

I can see why your concerned. AMD still uses FPGA rather than LGA. FPGA is more prone to pins being bent, even if the CPU installs properly.

Just follow the instructions for installation and you should be OK. If you feel too much pressure or have large hands and feel like you’re going to breAk it, just ask a tech savvy friend to install it for you.

Just never touch the pins, even grasping those CPUs wrong, can bend a pin.
Only handle the CPU when you are actually going to be taking it into, or out of the socket.

CPUs such as AMD have a gold triangle in one corner, then a triangle on the socket, that's how you line it up. Just be sure to open the socket latch before you attempt to install or remove the CPU. Once the CPU is in the socket, it has enough weight all on it's own to stay put, then simply close the socket latch all the way down.

Hold it from the edges. You dont need to push it in, if it's aligned correctly by the arrow in the corner then it will just drop in there.

Thank you all for the answers. Ive put together some pc:s in the past, but none of them had the ryzen cpu. I actually have to use a little force to bend the pins, yes? I thought of them being super easily to bend

You'll never have reason to apply force, so it should be fine. Grip the CPU by the edges or use a plastic CPU grabber. Then gently place it into the socket, it doesn't need to be pushed down or clicked into place. It just rests there.

just be careful, and dont apply force like on an LGA cpu, it should just slide right in and i can hear the sex jokes coming from a mile away

You don't apply force to an LGA CPU, either.

No, but you have to actually push it in and use the bar thingy instead of just sliding it right in

Intel LGA and AMD FM2/AM3/AM4

You don't push on anything, the CPU gets gently placed within the alignment and that is that. Closing the socket does the rest. There is zero reason why the top should have a anything from your fingers on it when you're all said and done.

Off topic question. Does anyone know how well the stock cooler performs? I wont by overclocking but the 2600x can turbo up to 4,25ghz if i remember correctly.
I might get an aio cooler but I dont know how safe/durable they are from leaks and such

The Wraith Spire that is included on 2600X is very decent.
It can hold 4.0 - 4.1Ghz very well on all cores at decent temperatures. (65C or less)

when setting a CPU into its socket it uses something called ZERO FORCE INSERTION. like others have said you DONT need to apply any force, just line up the cpu and let it drop into place. and on the question of AIO vs Air cooler, i have an AIO and my pc is now about 2 years old and I havent had a single leak or any issue arise from it, I do plan on changing to an air cooler at some point to have variety to my cooling options. All in all though, AIO's are great, they keep thermals in check, and are nice and quiet too.
