Given that parking cores would disable the ones not used while your system is idle, it might actually be not such a bad idea to unpark them for a performance gain.

The only reason to park your cores is to conserve energy use.
Problem is temperature when you unpack your CPU cores

what ? depends on the motherboard and CPU used

my i 5 7600 K has options is the bios that can be set to be used to enable how its overclocked
so to answer the ops question we need to know what CPU and motherboard

if its a laptop dont bother . laptop CPU's suck for overclocking and they have bad bios support 98 % of the time and your CPU is set to run a certian way due to power mangement settings and heat

Having all cores unlocked and running at their full clocks shouldn't affect idle temps.
It's loads overall that will affect your temps.

As it stands right now in Win10 1803, there really is no reason to go un-parking your cores.

You're better off just...

> Disable C1E, SpeedStep in your BIOS; especially if OverClocking

> If OverClocking it might also make sense to disable Turbo as well, and just OC to what the default Turbo would be, or beyond that.

> Set Windows Power Options to High Performance

That really is all you should need to do to have all cores working at all times.
Overall, it's most likely also pointless to using a core-unlocking app on modern CPU platforms anyways, since they handle this much better then older gens did. And so does Win10 and the Drivers.
I have a ryzen 2600x and rog strix x470-f gaming with amd wraith spire

Then try...
> Disable C1E, Cool & Quiet
> Download and Install latest official Ryzen Chipset Driver from
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x470 and install. This should add an "AMD" profile to Windows Power Options; then use that power option instead. The profile might not be able until you reboot, do so after installing these types of driver packs.
