secure portable password managing software

is there any password managing software that is trustworthy and secure that can be installed to usb and taken to wherever I go? and that's free

its called a notebook ..and a pen an paper ... you store in your desk or even inside your PC case
they cost a buck at any staples store ..or use an old check book

ALWAYS write down e mail accounts and passwords used for any online account .. keep em safe an yes they can be so small they fit inside your PC case

if you want it on a usb drive ..USE note pad ..and be sure to note store as a .txt file what in your password needs to be capitol letters

Question ..why can't Steam users write things down anymore i been doing it for over 20 years
never had an issue

1st of all, it's realy easy to lose a piece of paper if I'm taking it with me. 2nd notepad and usb don't provide enought level of encription

Any password software you allow to have access to any of your passwords is technically a security risk. You're trusting that the company doesn't let their employees read your passwords, and most "password management software" isn't even independently audited for security either.

There are many diffent type of ways to manage your passwords.

- I for one would hands down recommend getting a notebook, and keeping it in a safe place.

You can make a code that only you understand how to decrypt it, and this way you can bring that paper with you anywhere you want, for exmaple, Password: AppleBacon2021 but you write it on paper " ZkkoYzxlm7978 "

- For passwords manager on the go, I would recommend getting a USB keychain, and up to you how you want to store your passwords on it, either have stand alone software with password protection to use the software, and the software will encrypt your notes, or just leave a notepad on it.

Doesn't matter how good the software will be that encrypt your notes, there will always be away to decrypt your notes, when I used to go to collage, my teacher hands down explain to one of my fellow classmate that never leave your stuff unattended in public, you're basically asking for trouble of doing so, doesn't matter if you got the world most events encryption software, someone will find away to decrypt it no matter what, which why there are hundreds of them, some not much better than others, or just worse.

- You can use online passmanager, but you be running a risk if that service gets a breach in security, and have data leak.

Ditto on that! Have it's database on onedrive accessible from all my phones/computers.

that's why I'm asking here, not just googling free transportable pasword managing software
