It was am honest post to new PC builders thinking this may be a money saver .
WISH is similar to Alibaba, meaning a marketplace full of knock offs and what not.
(Though if you know EXACTLY what you are getting, it can be useful)
I had actually stopped my mom from using it because of this fact, even without fully knowing about the site at the time i knew what it was about and stopped her.

Now the question is
What GPU did you buy, what was it supposed to be, and what did it actually say it was in GPU-Z?
Many of what they sell are Region Specific GPUs and not meant for sale outside of a certain region, things of that nature. Linus did a video about this but for Aliexpress
Almost any website where you can buy GPUs has these scam ones on it.
If you look on Ebay now, for an old GPU, filling the 30-50 pound area, you can see like 10+ versions of the same card, that clearly aren't the card you're looking to buy.
(From the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ancient VGA port, to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cooler thats on it.)
As for wish.com, buying a GPU for what, like sub 20 quid?
Why would you think that wouldn't be a scam?
Sorry for being a bit of a ♥♥♥♥, but honestly lmao. You can see why.
As CJ says, what GPU did you buy, and what did you end up with?
Could be funny to find out.
If memory serves correctly, they're GTS 4 series cards with a new cooler jammed on.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-GTX1060-Desktops-Graphics-Card-3G-DDR5-Game-Video-Card-PCI-Express-Gaming/302947444677?hash=item46891327c5:g:eHkAAOSwdhdb2s40:rk:2:pf:0
"Note:
This graphics card is upgraded from gtx550ti 2G to gtx1060 3G".
Over 10k feedback @ 99.4% (How ?)
/facepalm
And chances are it's bots.
Edit : How the ♥♥♥♥ do you ''upgrade'' a 550ti to a 1060 3GB?
Oddly enough I've just been reading up on that, it appears to be a simple BIOS flash* and a cheap PoS cooling shroud. GTS 450's and 550 Ti's appear to be the actual cards and before they started selling them as 1060's they did the same a while ago knocking them out as 960's...
Kinda suprised Nvidia isn't getting involved, at least with sales of these cards on Ebay...
* That makes the card report it's something it's not, no actual performance gain.
we are humans. we will likely to commit errors and mistakes one way or another.
hell, if was the owner of a credit card 20 years ago, i would have been scammed many times over as 'i always won 1 million dollars' by clicking on internet browser ads. the only requirement for winning is to input my credit card info. i nearly believed the scam.
They still do sell them, as 960s. You should see the 970s lmao.
They've got a desktop GPU labled as a 970m.....
And they get removed all the time, just the guy keeps putting up new ♥♥♥♥ constantly.
So action is being taken, just not fast enough.
I'm not shaming him, just wondering how he could fall for it.
And, Jesus, is that joke/sarcasm?
and if your last query was about my post, then my experience with 1m $ winning ads, then it was real.
I seen this being a very common problem with Wish.
I suggest sticking to Amazon marketplace, or eBay if looking for used, or cheap goods.
