Yea that’s true, I’m more comfortable with intel. Since the only time I used AMD it was a bad experience..
Yeah, because FX (which I presume is what you are talking about) was pure garbage even at release.
But Ryzen is really great.
Ok so how’s this? I wanna keep the Z390 in case I wanna upgrade to a 9900K. I put the dark rock pro 4 because based on what I’ve researched it’s amongst the best. Also it’s giving me an error when I put the M.2 and the HDD for some reason..why? And the NZXT case bad motha suggested! :) so how is it?
And of course instead of the 9th gen it’s the 8th
Would also go for an i7-8700K. The price doesn't justify for anything else. Especially the 9700K is a really bad buy.
Using a M.2 SSD disable 2x SATA ports. Refer to you motherboards manual which ports are getting disabled.
The case imo is bad and has about the same airflow problems.
Personally I would look into a quality HDD like WD Gold.
Also get rid of windows. You can install and download it for free from Microsoft website. Activating you can do for less then 10 USD if you want to activate, just look at Google.
Ok so everything else is good? Case and the storage error notification thing. I really appreciate it guys
Ok, the case and the HDD. I’m a little confused about the storage still but I’ll look into it, I’ll get M.2 and the Wd gold and figure it out
That using an M2 SSD in NVME mode would disable 1-2 SATA Ports; that is a given regardless of which Motherboard you use. Not really a problem since any decent board would easily offer approx 6-8 SATA ports anyways.
Oh! Ok I get it, so I have to find out which 2 ports are disabled is all correct?
Oh so turn the pc on and the mb will tell me? Also I still have to find a case. Thanks once again
Sorry my mistake the manual will tell you. It is clearly pictured there which ports getting disabled.
Oh it’s ok, I’m gonna search for cases and link them then I think that’s it!
First go for a nice Asus motherboard or Gigabyte RAM.
G.Skill Trident Z RGB requires Asus Aura. There is a G.Skill software to control them, but it is a 1:1 copy of Asus Aura. Both so not work well or at all with Gigabyte RGB Fusion Software which you need to control the motherboards LED.
On the other hand, Gigabyte offers now RGB RAM that also uses RGB Fusion and comes in a set of 4 modules. 2 of them are actual RAM while the other 2 are just dummies but with RGB. That will make a look of a complete 4 module RGB RAM set but for the price and performance of 2x8GB.
Also by experience (have pic with that) RGB RAM and a twin tower CPU cooler ruin the look. It is better to use a more expensive AIO Cooler like NZXT Kraken or Corsair.
With that, there also some nice tempered glass builds possible that does not focus soley on airflow with tower coolers but airflow with using radiators.
Hard to beat ones like Corsair 570X or Cooler Master H500M
Unless perhaps you happen to have a need for a ton of 3.5 inch drives; like more then 2-3 of them
