I only need 200 to set it up

I have a fx 6350 already

I need a gtx 1050 ti + 4gb ram = About 200

If I get ryzen then

Ryzen 100 + 8gb ddr4 ram = about 200

$300 vs $150

$150 - 1050ti
+ resell 1050ti if dont like

Okay lets see... 200 budget

Guess I can do for the ryzen

Ryzen 2200g 100 + Cheap am4 mobo 60 + 4gb ddr4 40 = 200

Had to take 4gb ddr4 away

what is your current gpu?

Getting the 1050 ti will give you the best performance and you can start to save for a 7nm Zen 2 CPU with MB/RAM.

A r7 250

The new ryzen was able to do more than 1 thing really well like play movie on one screen, game, and do something else, the fx could only play a game pretty well at once.

Kk I see

How stronger do you think the ryzen was over your fx?

About 25 percent stronger?

Ryzen is about a 40% jump over FX, but you can only really see a limitation if you have a 1060 6gb or stronger GPU in some games.

the 2200g is a low cpu to aim for

get the 1050ti and save up for a better cpu/mobo/ram combo later

Kk

Then the 1050ti will be fine in a ryzen 2200g
Cool!

Kk

Ill get the gtx 1050 ti first and pair it with my Fx 6350.

Thanks!

After I'll work on getting a am4 mobo, ram , and a ryzen processor...

Or intel stuff but I really wanna stick with AMD though. So ryzen most likely!

With just 200$ budget, it's better to get the 1050TI.

Then save for platform upgrade.
Don't forget that you can get quite decent price from the FX + mb + DDR3 set when selling and thus include that in the budget. (they will sell for roughly a 100$ if you have 8Gb of DDR3)

100$ in total. 30$ for cpu, 50$ for RAM, 20$ for MB.

Right!

I was mistaken to sell the gtx 1050 ti too

That would be dumb because if I sell it I wont have a gpu.

Concentrate on a GTX1060 at this point, GTX1050ti is fairly low even for an FX6350.

I tried a GTX1060 on my FX8350 and it was fantastic compared to the old R9 280x 3GB that is better than the new GTX1050ti.

The Ryzen 7nm is coming next year and the FX6350/GTX1060 should do you fine until then.

Ya the Ryzen 2200g ^ has higher fps but the FX can still manage playable fps with a decent GPU. Regardless try to hold off for Ryzen 3600 7nm next spring.

Oh ya the GTX1060 is way better than the GTX1050ti, fyi the GTX1060 3GB/GTX970 are between the GTX1050ti and GTX1060 6GB and the GTX1060 6GB is par with GTX980.

Just sift through random YT vids and decide ^.

I think this guy ^ has something borked on his set up because he's got a huge bottleneck going but below has not much bottleneck with FC5 and a GTX980ti a GTX 1070 equivalent.

FX and GTX980ti ^
