They should be clean installed; always do this with GPU drivers. They do not like "update" methods.

Download and run DDU and pick Safe Mode > Reboot.
Then pick AMD and Clean.
Then restart and install latest official AMD Graphics Drivers 18.xx
If the 18.xx ones pose issues with certain things; do the DDU all over again and use the latest from the 17.xx version of drivers.

How to download and use the DDU App

i guess you have an software problem. the easiest thing then is to reinstall windows and with the fresh install you test the gfx board. if you still have frame drops, your hardware may have troubles.

Did you close the program out after making those changes to Options?

Then you should see a drop down menu; pick Safe Mode and then Restart.

Once in Safe Mode, wait for the DDU app to load back up, pick AMD from the branded list on the right hand side; then click "Clean & Restart"

Many do have issues of these sorts though because the newest AMD Drivers are just not meant really for older GPUs like you have.

Ok goody. Even though 17.xx ones ARE older, if you have one of the more recent 17.xx versions; that should be plenty to allow your GPU to work fine. Some older GPUs simply can have issues with some of the newer 18.xx Drivers; those are meant for the RX 4xx/5xx series
