How the hell are we going to ever enjoy 4K with all visuals maxed out?
This is complete non-sense.
Now if games move to Ray Tracing we'd basically still need to wait another GPU Gen or 2 before 4K with full visual details can be had at a decent/stable FPS.
Can't the world just retire 1080p already and move on.
I'd rather NVIDIA spend another year on taking those GPUs and making 2080 at the least, be able to do 4K @ 60 FPS (averages) w/ Ray Tracing
Why are they even focusing on 1080p at all?
1080p should be for the folks looking to get the low end GTX stuff.
Well I was playing already @ 4K in most Games with all the glory visuals.
Now with Ray Tracing we have to go way down to enjoy the content. It's complete rubbish.
And just cause you are stuck in the last decade with 1080p, how is that my problem.
Everything should be running smoothly at 4K by now. How many more years we have to wait.
Oh right, stupid 1080p console standards, I guess that is why.
And if you believe that "everything should be running at 4k" this is only your problem. Kind of wishful thinking.
The consoles are running 4K, all the TVs are 4K... get with it.
It's only been here for years now. How long we have to babysit folks still running on 1080p
It's like the people complained about XP/Vista support.
Around 1994-1998 the standard was 800x600 or so.
by around 1999-2001 the standard was around 1024x768 / 1280x1024 or so.
By 2006 much of us were on 1920x1080
How long should this be a thing before we move up?
It used to be exciting to do so on a community level in the world, hold hands and say good bye to the old standard. What happened...
I'm not suggesting you are others using a certain res are wrong.
I'm saying why is the industry catering towards 1080p still.
NVIDIA should by now be releasing a really mind blowing GPU that can push 4K @ 60 FPS averages in most games. That is what is sad and ridiculous.
