RTX 2070
Now I have the GTX 1070 Founders Edition, and that does have SLI. But in the pictures I'm seeing of the RTX 2070, it doesn't look like I see an SLI connection... Am I just blind or will there be an SLI connection point?

No SLI anymore, it's NVlink.

No it does not have NVlink.

No it does not have NVlink. You should have waited for benchmarks IMO.
Trust me, I just bought my GTX 1070 FE last month, It has to be at least the performance or better to a GTX 1080 for me to even think about buying one.

RTX 2070, not 1070. SLI is dead, no graphics will support it. But RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti will support NVlink. RTX 2070 will NOT have sockets for multi-GPU configs.

I'm aware, it was out of force of habit of saying 1070 because I'm more familiar with the 10 series cards lol.

Get SLI Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti you'll get same performance as RTX 2080 Ti or 2070, Ti

I'm probably just going to buy another 1070 because I don't want it to go to waste since I just bought it.

NVLInk IS multi-GPU connector.
It is the successor of SLI.

Not worth it due to poor support of SLI. Majority of time, you won't actually get the 2x performance. And sometimes may get worse experience.

What res and refresh rate are you playing at? I would sell the 1070 and buy a 1080 ti instead of another 1070.

Well if I were to sell my 1070, I wouldn't get full price back ofc, and I paid a little over 400. A 1080ti would cost me around 700 dollars. So I don't see it being worth it. And I'm using an older haswell CPU, the i7 4790K so I don't want to risk paring two 1080ti's together because that may or may not cause a bottleneck.

Then don't pair 2 of them. Because SLI is not worth it.

I was saying sell your 1070 and get a single 1080 ti. It will be about the same performance as 1070 SLI in most titles but you will get full performance in all games even non SLI supported games.

4790k will have an easier time with a single 1080 ti rather than sli 1070's.

Waste? Just resell it before its old / goes down in retail pricing market.

I'm already seeing some GTX 1080 Ti for around $649

Single 1080 Ti over 2x 1070 any day of the week.

Yes I would NOT consider an SLI config unless you are using something like 7700K or better

As someone who uses SLI regularly, its not nearly as bad as people make it out to seem. Although you will almost never get the theoretical 2x performance, you can usually get 1.5x-1.8x range.

And for driver support, you can actually do that on your own by forcing rendering at the driver level for each game. It sounds annoying but its literally 2 mins per game and then you never have to worry about it again. (Also Multi GPU is great for streaming)

But the main reason i'm commenting is not to defend SLI, but rather because as of right now Zotac is selling GTX 1070s for $269 on Amazon.

But, perhaps even better, Zotac 1080ti is going for $526 on Amazon as well. Even if its a brand like Zotac, thats still too good of a deal to pass up.

I almost got the 1070 until I saw the 1080ti deal.

But this prices likely wont last because they are hundreds of dollars lower than the competition. I bought 2 1080 ti and I am currently waiting on their arrival. 2 1080ti for less than 1 RTX 2080ti FE :)

Just buy a GTX 1080ti and sell the 1070.
The more time passes the lower is the price you could sell it.
