Looking for monitor. Thoughts part 2.
As some of you may notice that i was looking for monitor 10 days ago, and i almost decided to get MSI, but since then many things changed due to 100hours of research and some discounts that made me change my mind.

So here it goes, i cant decide between these. The price is not that much of an issue, i jsut want to get monitor that i will be satisfied with and that it will serve me for the next 5 years. I guess whichever i buy it will be a huge leap over my Samsung B22230 that i've been using for the past 7 yrs.

All monitors are 1080p!

MSI Optix MAG24C 24" VA 144Hz 1ms 297 $
MSI Optix G27C2 27" VA 144 Hz 1ms 297 $
Samsung S25HG5 25" VA 144Hz 1ms 267 $
Samsung LC24FG73 24" VA 144Hz 1ms 279 $
Samsung LC27FG73 27" VA 144Hz 1ms 447 $
Asus ROG Strix XG258Q 24" TN 240Hz 1ms 417 $

If only i could try these monitors for just 5 min it would help me decide, but they don't allow it here at Thailand which is lame af.

I tried the 27" version of this monitor in one store side-by-side and pixels on 27" are just too big at any decent monitor viewing distance.
You need to be quite dang far from it.

27" 1080p has a PPI of 81.59
24" 1080p has 91.79

The 27" 1080p is same pixel density as 36" 1440p
Where as 24" 1080p is same as 32" 1440p

27" is way too big for the 1080p, so they are out of the question.
240Hz is good only for competitive games where you can actually get that high framerate.
VA panels are great and curved panel adds immersion to the games.

So I would highly recommend the Samsung LC24, I have that monitor myself right now.

So far did you notice any bad things about that Samsung, i've read mostly the positive things. Also did you calibrate it with the device, how is the Srgb coverage?

Well, I don't own calibration tool nor is there a place near me who would do it.
It had a document with it about factory calibration which however is currently in the box in the storage so I don't have it on hand right now.

It looks all around good and colors are definitely better than on the BenQ GW2406Z's IPS panel.

Ok, Thanks for your time and help. Cheers.

There is also no color errors on the panel. It's not gray/yellow/blue/red -ish like many panels tend to be.

The Y-stand is rigid and stable, wobble won't be an issue.

Ended up ordering Samsung LC24FG73 24"
They didnt have any of these monitors on stock to try em out, so i had to order. Then they figured out that MSI couldnt even be ordered for some reason, so Samsung was the obvious choice. It will arrive tmrrow.

I tried Ultra HD LG 29UM69G-B monitor that they had in store, although it was 75Hz, 1ms,29" it looked really good i've gotta say. I tested some of my designs and some footage of the BF1 gameplay.. But they didnt have any game to try in store so i passed it without a proper testing.

Wanna share calibration report for some future buyers, might help someone. Finished calibration with Spyder 5, and this is the results.

What you mean by that? I didn't do any manual things except for the three different brightness profiles, One set at 31(the most accurate one), one at around 70 and one at 100%.

Oh, thought you tweaked the colors as well.
