But why would you want an APU? If you want to do gaming and have the cash for the "best" AMD APU why not just get a GPU? A 1050 ti already has 2x the processing power a Vega 11 has.
Of course, the 2nd best is 2200G.
Would it fit if you used a PCI-E 90 Degree Right Angle Riser Card ?

or

Well if you can't squeze a GT 1030 low profile card in then its the 2400G as others noted or an external GPU, which is neither portable or cheap.
There might be a solution...

I'm just doing some digging, I'm curious if there is a way to use a laptop MXM GPU with a desktop board, might be a possability, again if it is, it's going to be expensive.
NM, scrub this idea by the time you factor in a heatsink, it's going to be bigger than a GT1030 sadly.
You can get 1070/80 MXM cards

Beside that. in Laptop case you need a dedicated sized motherboard. On those motherboards the CPU and GPU's are soldered directly to it. You cant just put desktop hardware into it. Neither can you simply fit a desktop motherboard or CPu into it.
And as others stated. The Ryzen 2400G is the best APU on the market as it is the newest AMD CPU with iGPU and the one with the best iGPU. The currently best Intel CPU with iGPU would be the 8700K while it has better CPU powers but a worse iGPU.
Fresh install W10.
When talking about the CPU; no it gets obliterated by bascially everything.
Then just use 2400G + onboard Vega GPU
Why are you installing GT/GTX 1030
