My laptop suddenly can't identify my Nvidia graphic card
Hello. Few days ago, my laptop stopped reading my Nvidia graphic card (GeForce 840M) completely, and started to use Intel graphic card instead. Anyone knows how to fix this issue? Please tell me if any info are needed. Thanks in advance! :D:

Do you have GeForce Experience? If yes, I recommend you to update the drivers from that software. Should start working again if the card itself isn't broken.

Did that, but it said that it wasn't able to identify my GPU. My GPU can't be broken too because it's my home laptop and I never take it anywhere. I'm all out of ideas right now. :Sad_crystal::hmmmx:

If you have 2 graphic cards there's a chance those Intel drivers are messing with your GeForce drivers.

Is that even possible?

It's definitely possible. Oftentimes it's recommended to get rid of the old drivers.

On the contrary, it's quite possible your GPU has crapped out. Never taking it anywhere is irrelevant.

Open Nvidia Control Panel. Does it say you have an 840m?

Open Device Manager. Does it list your 840m? Does it have a yellow exclamation mark indicating there's a problem with it?

Umm.. That's why I said my laptop can't identify it. I can't even open the Nvidia control panel now.
What does the nVidia Control Panel say when you try to open it?

I can't open Nvidia control panel now. It doesn't even show up.
Not even an error message?

No... The only error I got was when I tried to update my drivers using GeForce Experience, it said that it couldn't identify my GPU. I tried updaing them manually, but I got a similar error.
What brand and model is your laptop?
