vibration with scp driver and ps3 controller
i finally abandoned the xbox controler and went with the scp driver and a second hand ps3 controller, all is working very well after i managed to discover how to install the scp driver

i am working via usb cable, i am having a problem, i had to disable vibration, when game makes motors work, controller disconencts and reconects like crazy

i read somewhere that it could be fixed by just lowering the vibratin strength on scp, no idea how to do that, any help is apreciated

why didnt you say what you already tried?

it could be a bad battery in the ds3 or low current charge cable

Could be a un-stable USB connection somewhere too. Sometimes I've had to very carefully bend the metal usb port casing on the Controller side, so the MicroUSB side grips/sticks in the port on the controller much better/tighter, more securely.

Sorry I can't be of more hands-on help. I do know there are some user-modded scp drivers floating around where the default max vibration was reduced to avoid power related issues for DS3 and DS4 controllers, so yea ask around and track those down. Should be plenty of tutorials online explaining any chances, configs, what to do in Windows, where to get the different drivers from, etc.

the battery could be faulty but atm i'm playing on the ps3, the entire day basically, the charge is holding very well, i have tried with 3 different mini usb cables including the one that came with the ps3, i have other 2 ps3 controllers and tried on multiple ports on the pc, it happens, so, in scp driver there is not a option to control vibration strenght i understand

well, the controller must be asking for more than 500 mah on the usb port and most ports barely deliver 400 mah, perhaps removing the battery? but i also use this controller with my ps3 sometimes so that would be a problem

i discovered that the driver when the controller is working via usb is not charging the battery, so the battery just keeps discharging, it seems that scp driver doesn't let the controller to charge while it works, to charge the controller one needs another source, the controller works and charges as expected, well, i guess all i can do is buy a bluetooth adapter and work with it via bluetooth but is a problem because i still use it with the ps3 and i don't wan to pair and unpair it all the time
