Does Windows 10 display scaling affect games aswell?
Guys, just purchased a new 1440p ultrawide monitor, and I moved the scaling in display settings from 100 percent to 150. My question to you guys is that will this make my games blurry or zoomed in aswell? Thanks in advance for any help guys, and have a great weekend.

In terms of DPI scaling, it does for some games. You have to occasionally use compatibility mode options to prevent it.
Depends on the game in question, but if game full screen most likely not be affect by the scaling, but you wouldn't need to change Windows scaling if you just set the screen resolution to the native screen resolution of the monitor, unless you're trying to zoom in, due to poor eyesight.

If you play the game in Window, or borderless Window mode, it may get affected by your scaling.

Yes, unfortunately I got the short end of the stick, and do have poor vision even with glasses. Hmm, I can manage at 125 percent scaling, thanks for the reply.
It depends on the game at-hand.
This is also why there exists the disable of DPI settings per EXE; so you can force-disable them.

Some games actually have really f’ed up controls if you don’t disable high DPI scaling. Lego Batman is a notable example.
I've been turning these off on all my games since Win7 released, it's why I don't have any of these issues.

Ditto...since Vista xD

Though for some 64bit executables, it may actually not be necessary to do that.

I have the option to override high DPI settings under compatability in the exe. properties. Is this it? It's already checked to oeverrride. The game that's giving me troubles right now is Assasin"s Creed Origins.
Yes, check the box in compatability in an exe and apply.
Then that app will ignore the OS DPI % setting

If you’re using Windows 10...in the game’s exe properties compatibility tab, you will see a button indicating DPI options. Open that up, check mark all the boxes. Set the bottom one to “Application”. Click OK, then click Apply in the exe properties window, then OK.

You should also do the same for all the exe files in the game folder.

You can also disable full screen optimisations in right click .exe properties.

I would have thought it windows dpi settings only affects games that are running in borderless?

Nope...it affects both Borderless and Exclusive modes in Full Screen or in Windowed. It will mess with how direct iunput works in some games (Lego Batman for Instance).
Is there a global control to deactivate dpi for all games?

No its always done on an app by app basis in the app EXE properties
