Are these files harmful?
Are these files important and what are they? I have never heard of them.
These are what i found on my C drive (HD)
$Windows.~WS
$SysReset
$GetCurrent
$AV_ASW

The first three are Windows folders which are leftovers from OS upgrades and system resets, the last one belongs to the Avast Anti Virus software.

These are temporary folders containing logs and other crap. They are hidden by default.

Leave these folders as-is, no reason to remove them unless you really care about every single kilobyte of data.


And you shouldn't go exploring in the file system, no reason to.
