safe temperature for gtx 1070
Is 85 celsius degree safe for overclocked gtx 1070? it's reached while playing games like fc5/tw3/gta5

I mean i can lock maximum temperature of my gpu to 75 but power% wents down by some % and performance is worse than it was before

it's gtx 1070 armor version with standard cooling. also its middle of summer there in poland

85C for 1070 is quite high. Check if your fan speed is running at Auto. If it isn't running at auto, make it.

It is safe, but it's just simply high for a gpu of it's level.

i set fan speed to 100% and to 25% when my pc is on "idle mode" and i dont do anything on it
also my pc is standing in the corner of the room and it's surrounded by walls and side of my desk
maybe that has something to do with temperature?

does your computer case have enough holes and space for fresh/cool air to enter?

does your computer case have additional fans to blow the hot air out? you need some exhaust if your GPU doesnt blow the hot air outside
does the air that gets blown out by your GPU feel burning hot? if not, it could be bad/dry thermal paste.

I have the same MSI gtx1070 armor I'm hard pressed to creep up to 65c normally 62ish c, you shouldn't need to bugger with its fan speed it's only a 150w card.

Maybe your room is too hot or your case has poor or not enough fans. Cases really only need a good 120mm side intake and rear exhaust rated at least 60-65cfm.

By standard cooling do you mean blower style?

The MSI Armor cards have a notorious reputation for having bad cooling that's really not any better than founder's edition cards. Make sure your case airflow is squared away

Do you have afterburner installed for fan control/overclockjing? if So you can set up a fan curve, so when the Temp increases so does your fan speed, Setting your fan speed to Auto, doesn't always work and it's factory settings that were set in a controlled environment. It's best to set up a fan/temp curve in Afterburner. When buying a Video card always look for cooling with Double or triple fans Not like the founders editions as Kaiheko stated there cooling is not good and collects allot of dust.
