Sell the APU PC
Buy H310M MSI GAMING MB+ 8GB RAM+i3 8100+ 500W+ PSU
may be, makes sense but i don't wanna sell everything yknow? I might have to tho. If i do sell everything i need a 1tb portable hard drive to save all my ♥♥♥♥ in. but i don't think i'd get much for my pc if I did sell it. I have 500w power supply, 500gb hard drive, 2x 4gb DDR3 ram, an ASRock FM2A58M-VG3+ motherboard with the AMD A8-7600, the original GTX 960 that came with the PC, and the basic fans that came with it. how much you think i could sell that for?
A8 7600: 10-20$/€
FM2/2+ motherboard: 20-30$/€
8 gb DDR3 RAM: 60$/€
GTX 960: 100€/$
i5 2400: 40-50$/€
LGA1155 motherboard: 40 to 50$/€
500W psu of unknown brand and quality: 10€/$
In total:
around 300€/$
This is roughly enough for buying Ryzen 5 1400 + B350 motherboard and 8Gb DDR4 when combined with the money you would have to pay for a new LGA1155 motherboard.
The price for the 7600 and the GTX 960 are horribly overpriced though.
7600 is too weak to ask that much for, when for just 90-95$ a Ryzen 3 2200G can be bought as new which is several times stronger in all aspects.
20-30$ is max it should be sold for.
As for 960, it's equal to 1050Ti but because of 1050Ti being available for 150-200$, a max of 130$ should be asked for it.
Since your psu is EVGA, the 20$ is good. Maybe even 30$ if it's a bronze rated one.
so far I have a
Deepcool Tesseract SW mid tower blue LED ATX case
ASRock micro ATX DDR3 1066 Intel LGA1155 motherboard
(Keeping the i5-2400 to use in the motherboard to save money)
(Also keeping the G1 Gigabyte 970)
Kingston HyperX Fury 4gb 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM ram
Toshiba 1TB 7200RPM hard drive
EVGA 500 W power supply
that's all i have down so far and it totals to 287 USD, would i need anything else to complete the build to function or nah? and it's signifigantly better than my current build right?
If you are referring to Ryzen 5 1400 build, it will be.
Although not much fps difference will be seen thanks to the gpu being the main bottleneck, but it will be far more future compatible.
HDD and power supply can be reused as well as of course the case.
Well, it will be a big improvement on that as well. But put in 8gb of RAM instead of just the 4.
Don't you have the 8gb from the A8 7600 build? You said you have 2x 4gb DDR3.
DDR4 wouldn't even work with either platform. They only use DDR3.
Of course not. Reuse what you can. Let the buyer worry about the missing parts/required upgrades.
