What is a "good" CPU for a FM2+ socket motherboard for a tight budget?
I won't have a lot of money for a while to save up for a new motherboard that holds a LGA socket cuz those go for over 100 bucks and i don't wanna do that as cheap as that sounds. I just want to do a simple CPU change from my trash AMD one that isn't so good at all to decent FM2+ CPU thats under 100.

If you have any suggestions please let me know!

Specs:

GPU: G1 Gigabyte GTX 970

CPU: AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7

Motherboard: ASRock FM2A58M-VG3+ || FM2+ socket

FM2 is an ancient socket. There is no CPU worth buying on it, this is all 6 year old stuff and rebrands.

Even the best FM2 CPUs don't even hold a candle to modern budget AMD and Intel CPUs.
You already have basically the best CPU that socket offers.
All FM2 are slower then Intel Pentium anyways.

It's time to think about a new system.

You can re-use old Drives and the 970 GPU

Best bet would be Intel B360 Board + 1x 8GB DDR4 + i3-8100
Will be miles ahead in performance than what you have now.

You could basically just keep what you have and upgrade to newer Motherboard + CPU + DDR4 RAM; unfortunately nothing modern gen uses DDR3 anymore.

If your Case is MicroATX (4 slots in the rear) then look at:
AMD Ryzen 1400 or better CPU + B350 Chipset Motherboard
-or-
Intel i3-8100 or better CPU + B360 chipset Motherboard

You would want to reinstall your Windows OS fresh though if you do such an upgrade.
And you will want to use Windows 10 64bit on any modern gen hardware also.

Ight so basically just the stuff you suggested, I have a Thorex ironside PC. I'm going to most likely go with that motherboard but there are signifigantly cheaper i3's right? i've seen some go for as low as 50 or 60.

The earlier generation I3s that you may have seen are only dual cores. The reason the 8100 is recommended is because it is a quad.
Yes you're not getting any CPU worth using below around $100 ranges any time soon.
Anything that cheap is useless 2-Core stuff.
