Intel CPU doesnt even start thermal throttling (reducing performance) until it hits 90C.
If it was a problem it would be throttling and reducing performance so it doesn't cause any damage.
This CPU is fine up to 90c+.
I use HWmonitor but thats only because I have it on a second screen. Afterburner will allow you to show figures as an overlay.
Kinda doubtful, Intel CPUs usually wont thermal throttle until they hit 90C.
If you are running Intel stock cooler then it's good idea to invest in $35 CPU cooler, Cryorig H7 is good one and fits into most cases.
You may want to do some cleaning/upgrade the cooler.
perhaps lowering some settings would help with the lag. it's smooth on my ryzen 1700. peak cpu temperature for playing about 30 minutes was 55 degrees.
Most CPUs will begin to throttle (lower its clock speed to cut down heat) once they hit 95 to 105°C. If temperatures rise further, the CPU will shut itself down to avoid permanent damage.

You are currently converting Temperature units from Celsius to Fahrenheit
105 Celsius (°C)
=
221 Fahrenheit (°F)
it's not, it's fine. The CPU will readily let you know if it's really overheating (The OS will freeze when the CPU powers itself off, or the system will reset itself). It'll otherwise probably just quietly throttle itself with little to no fanfare (unless you have monitoring software running to alert you)
You otherwise may or may not see a performance impact when throttling occurs, depending on what you're doing at the time.
basically, if everything is working normally there is nothing to worry about it.
My 4790k ran heavily overclocked for years and sat in the 70-80 range the entire time with no issues.
