Looking for recommendations

To qoute myself

Sennheiser hd (rs if u want wireless, but the rs is pricy), Audio-technica ath or Beyerdynamic dt series + a decent mic like rode nt, or a clip mic - depends on the budget for audio stuff.
I am cheap, Samson SR850 with a Zalman ZM-Mic1. Sounds better than my son's HyperX Revolver IMHO, the Samson's semi-open back has a bit of wider sound stage vs the Revolver's vented/ported design (which in itself does gives it a better sound stage than most closed gaming cans). I highly prefer a wider sound stage with virtual surround enabled.
I don't use headsets. I use headphones and mics.

It mostly depends on the use case. I wouldn't use the same setup for gaming, as I would for music creation and mixing.

But I'm sure you are talking about for gaming and typical desktop use for the average user, right?

For headphones, I usually use a V-MODA M-100, as I love bass and these have some spectacular bass response. Paired with a DAC/Amp, though I swap these around from time to time for different sound signatures. My favorite Dac/Amp would probably be the Micro iDSD BL. Occasionally, I'll swap out headphones for the Sennheiser HD 660 S, when I want open back.

For a mic, I primarily use a Blue Yeti for gaming and general chat. It has excellent quality for a USB mic and has a physical mute button on it that comes in handy. I recommend a pop filter for it, as it has some pretty terrible pop response without one.

Recommendations for this kind of stuff is difficult without knowing your sound preference, use case, and budget.

We can't really give any recommendations unless we know your budget.
I mean my setup is great, a Samson cou1 mic on a ride arm with a pair of Shure srh1540 headphones powered by a schiit audio Modi / magni 2 amp / DAC, downside, said setup is around £7-800.

I guess I didn't have a particular budget but after 150 I feel like I'm maybe paying a bit too much, maybe even a 100 depending on what I'm getting.
in which case i have been happy enough with my corsair void pro rgb wireless headset i use on my htpc, the wired version is cheaper, but for its price, id say it has good sound, the simulated surround is good, the mic is decent enough and wireless they will last about 10 hours-ish i think (mine are usually hooked up to a usb keeping them on charge from behind the couch) and can be had around £/$1-120 range.

title should really be "What headsets/headphones are you using?"

I do not own a headset or a headphone pair but I will be getting Sennheiser HD598 SR without a mic because why not? I do not really recommend a "gaming headset" as they are just cheap audio slammed with rgb, gimmicks, and a obnoxious-simple design at a high price for its audio
I mean I'm asking because I need something with a mic mostly, if it's just a set of headphones I'd rather just keep using my desktop speakers.
Sennheiser Game Zero and Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 here
For gaming; Sennheiser HD599 with Schiit Magni 2 and Schiit Modi. No mic.
For music; Beyerdynamic DT-770Pro with Audioquest Dragonfly, no mic.

You could just get a mic, something like the Samson Go Mic[www.amazon.com] then use speakers, headphones, whatever you like. If you are going to use speakers then enable Echo Cancellation in your mic options to prevent feedback (edit - found in the Samson Sound deck)
