What about the rest of your rig?
16GB 2666MHz
Z270 Gaming M3
and yes I'm going right for the gaming one, I love that design and overall it's quiet and cool card

It's a tough call ^ but for long term I'd sway to the Rx 580 8GB.
I have the MSI Armor versions of GTX 1070 and Rx 580 8GB and had the GTX1060 6GB evga sc.
yep only 4GB version or 8GB versions after mining :/
I forgot to mention, I'm considering the AMD cards because I have freesync monitor, otherwise I would go straight for GTX 1060
Maybe wait for a bit longer and prices may drop.
I can use 4.6GB vram in GR:W with mixed ultra/high 1080p.
It's your money and your choice if you want an Rx 570 8GB go for it..

570 to 580 is a %20 spread there ^.
Last food for thought the 570 to gtx1070 is approx. %40+ spread
So now I don't know if go for the 1060 6GB or RX 480 8GB. I would have to pay like 20$ more for the 1060 (we're talking about used cards with warranty of course). 1060 performs overall better, stays cooler however RX is up to 25% faster in Vulkan and DX12 optimized games, also it has async compute which nvidia lacks and this additional 2GB of VRAM + as I said I have freesync monitor... Hard decision...
RX 570 is just renamed RX 470. RX 580 is renamed RX 480.
Also, the 2Gb more VRAM doesn't matter as it's not powerful enough to run anything that would require that much VRAM. Async Compute is still not used in anything either.
So they have the FreeSync as the only pro.
What about freesync? Does it makes 50fps look like 60fps or it only removes tearing without locking frames?
This is because they simply lowered the voltage and then overclocked them.
They are the same Polaris chip otherwise.
That is the only thing AMD has going for it. And no, it won't make 50 look 60. It just locks the frames to something stable.
For just 20$ more, yeah.
