If I remember correctly the G4560 is like $70 and the G5400 is like $100?

I only think the G4560 is worth buying. Because it's cheap.

At $100 I'd much rather get the quad-core i3 8100.

For gaming with a graphics card the Ryzen 3 2200G is a worse buy because you won't use the integrated graphics and the CPU is slower for games. Plus right now if you don't want to go through the trouble of upgrading the BIOS an X470 boards is expensive whereas the i3 8100 can run on cheap B360 boards.

the minimum you should go is a Ryzen 2200G. dual cores aint gonna last

a few month ago the 4560 was best value budget cpu. if you can effort the g5400 it would be a little better, not much. in my opinion it is still ok to buy a 2 core cpu. you just won't be able to run some newer games.

just dont. you're buying a toaster.. get a 2200. it even has a built in gt 1030

Stepping it up to an i3 8100 would be better
