Strange issue - Sound cracking when scroll with mouse wheel?
Been having this strange issue with my audio/mouse lately and it makes zero sense to me.

Whenever I have something that's playing audio open Video/Music/Games and I use the scroll wheel it will make my sound start to crack and buzz.

This doesn't happen if I scroll down a page using arrow keys or pg up/down.

Does anyone know what the hell is going on here?

2 things i'd check:
1- if your power outlet is grounded
2- if your sound card can push 48ohms
Also try a different mouse.
does the mouse crackle, or is it from the speakers or somewhere else?
change the soundcard driver. i had this once with realtek hd audio. then there was a driver and it worked. this would be the solution imho. if not? i dont know.
kind regards
If your mouse is usb try it with ps/2 connection or vice/versa. I had this same issue many many years ago but can't remember the fix. :/
And thanks for posting proper system specs, it really helps!
Seems to have stopped now but if it comes back up again I'll try these steps.

Thanks all.
