Using a CM Hyper 212 LED. With 3D mark stress, CPU temp goes up to 65c (Max)
Ok, then check your cpu, gpu and HDD usage when that happens.
The temps are obviously good.
GPU Usage : 60% - 70%
Disk usage : 10% - 20%
There's your problem: cpu bottleneck.
Which is weird considering i5 6500 should be plenty for 1060 even on a cpu heavy game like GTA V.
Check the clockspeed your cpu runs at.
Max it goes to 3.6. But this game was working perfectly before. I tried to run the game without logitec gaming software. Seems okay, does not drop FPS to 20-40, but drops to 50-55.
That's more along the normal area.
So it might have been caused by that software.
Anyway i used it before this 1803 update. Worked smoothly. Now not... *facepalm*
However if you are, clean off GPU drivers and reinstall, use DDU Google it.
check the gta forum
The 8thread of hte i7 will fix the CPU bottleneck in this game.
