Windows 10 LTSB ?
Hello, I just want totally get rid of windows 10 Microsoft store and it's features including all those ugly and useless apps. I was using windows 7 before and after I built my new computer I got windows 10 and after that I missed how simple windows 7 were, so I found out about windows 10 LTSB and like one guy said on some other forums '' the windows 7 of windows 10'' and that's something what exactly I was looking, but one question, it is good for gaming? I am using my pc mostly for gaming. I have gtx 1070ti and ryzen 5 2600x. Thank you for answers

Other apps I dont know. I noticed that some random game called "Saga" something kept retuning to my installed apps list, uninstalled it several times, kept coming back. I also noticed that "allow apps to run in the background" always reverted to ON after every reset.

I think Store being enabled installed that stupid game, so I uninstalled store and still no sight of that saga game, nor store.

The other apps doesnt bother me that much.
You may want to look at this.

How Can I Get It?
Sounds pretty good, right? Unfortunately, as we said earlier, Windows 10 LTSB is only available as part of Windows 10 Enterprise. And Windows 10 Enterprise is only available to an organization with a volume licensing agreement, or through a new $7 per month subscription program.
It's not like you need to use the Store if you don't want to. It doesn't take ANY ram at the background.
Same for Cortana, as you can just disable it completely.

but its still there, so its not an option
I don't mind cortana and store "being there". Disabled what I could and removed the rest form view and forgot about it. I don't feel the ram hit with it about. My games run well enough and I've had no crashes on any.

What I don't like about this OS is how it tries to hide some settings behind pretty interfaces that do nothing but make me click 7 more times and be forced to look on the Internet to find the old version of things, still buried somewhere. Or how now you don't get to see a clear progress bar when Windows is downloading updates or virus definitions. You just see those moving dots and are left to twidle your fingers not knowing if the update will take 5 minutes or the whole damn day.

If that Windows TLDR you are talking about fixes those behaviors, I may change to it too. >.<
also if its the WIN `10 metro look ya hate just install classic shell

From what I get of the thread, it's not just the look, but the programs being active even in the background, eating resources. And the whole stuff about data collection.

it still hides that stuff unfortuneately
eh. I supposed.

Search has been integrated into Cortana, so that's why you might see it under processes when you've disabled the assistant part of it. Shutup10 should take care of all your concerns while not sacrificing any compatibility or security.

ram usage on average is now 1.7 gb, i think regular windows uses 2.5 gb or so. Everything feels peppy, left for dead 2 works, god eater resurecction works, witcher 3 is hanging up on something says its running but no window, killing floor 2 is working good, hyperdimension nep works, controller work

Windows 10 Pro clean boot with only Windows Defender in startup takes up 1.4GB of 16GB of RAM on my PC

Just to clarify. There are no problems regarding Windows 10 LTSB and gaming. ALL drivers, programs, games etc are running just like it would on a normal version of Windows 10. You can even install Windows Store if you want to. However the LTSB edition runs slightly better in general because it does not have all those apps etc running in the background.
i'm running win 10 ltsb (tweaked iso) from a year and half and this is the best os i ever had, every ♥♥♥♥ is disabled it looks like windows 7 with a new design i highly recomend you to try it a last once this is amazing.
Its an old thread guys, i have now windows 10 ltsb and everything works perfectly perfect.

I suggest not worrying about windows 10 too much and get another computer for anything else. A low spec machine with linux is usually great wth the exception of video editing. Just make sure the onboard graphics is good enough for your needs. Oh and KVM switch.

I wouldn't take the risk of running a modified OS on a gaming build. Games are specifically built for stock Win10.

There's nothing you can do about the MS store. Some specific Apps you can remove, but they may come back again with later updates. Your best option is just learning to accept Win 10 for what it is. It's far from perfect, but as gamers we're stuck with it for the forseeable future.

WinDows LTSB Now called LTSC is a full Official windows 10 that is only for enterprise but it removes cortana and useless blootware, but you Cant buy a license, they are vlk channel means you need buy 100 or 1000 you can crack it but crack the ltsc is hard because is the new version and is patched but is 10 times better that windows 10, but games like gta cant play unless you know how add kb
