Mechanical keyboards are like assault rifles; they're always going to make a loud noise, even if you muffle them. I have one of the stealthy-est models, a Ducky Shine Six, and it's been muffled with O-Rings and an XXL mousepad. Even it makes plenty of noise.

oring will get rid of the cliack noise on press, and shorter release distance reduces that noise some

ok nvm, I'm just gonna buy a $5 cheap keyboard... I can't own a any quality keyboard without my dad hating on it....
Low profile keyboard, as silent as it gets.
Throwing a perfectly fine mech keyboard away just like that? So what next? Get rid of the mouse for being too 'clicky' and the monitor cuz it's too bright(he probably knows you can tune it down)? Damn, he is one hell of a control freak parent.
Maybe you need to relocate the pc to an area where he doesnt have to hear you all the time?
