how to type the Euro key?
i have a msi gaming laptop, gs70 6qe or something.

the 5 key has the % on the left upper corner and the euro on the under right corner.

i've tried shift and alt, only shift and this in combination with the 4 because that's what people say is the default one.

but it doesn't work. is it possible that it isn't bound to anything? because i've completly reinstalled windows. so all the default applications where gone.

happy with any input you ppl's might have :D

Ctrl + Alt + E should work
Use the right Alt + 5?
it does not matter whats written on the keycap. the keyboard only sends a number and the operating system will then make it a character as per keyboard layout and that depends on what language you select it to be.

if you are talking about us layout then (according to wikipedia) you need to set it to us-international.

Right alt + 5 should do it, assuming it's set to the correct layout in windows.

I'm on a US layout. I get ♣ for R/alt + 5.

It's a combination of keyboard and the layout settings in windows. In the Netherlands, the most sold keyboard is a qwerty US international with the euro symbol added on the 5% key. If that's used with an us international layout in windows, pressing right alt 5 puts a euro symbol on screen. The onboard chip might send slightly different codes depending on the market the keyboard was build for.

There's other fun stuf. Right Alt, or "Alt Gr" as it's labelled on the keyboard I'm currently using plus:
c = ©
r = ®
2 = ²
3 = ³
6 = ¼
7 = ½
8 = ¾
? = ¿
- = ¥
= = ×

Set it to US International and it'll work, or start using right alt + 0128(Numpad)

i already have the us keyboard.. strange.. numpad isn't worth it. easier to google the symbol or just type "euro"

i'll try my steelseries key remapper
