If something wrong with Video drivers just do what I said.

If problem with monitor get a new one, or exchange it if still within the store return policy, if not, then you RMA it, and they'll test the monitor out, and ensure it working for you, but if they find an issue they will fix it for you, or give you a replacement simple as that.

I got this directly from AOC
DVI has faded and even more GPUs now are tossing that in favor of more HDMI & DP ports.
Pretty soon it will be gone entirely with maybe the exception of lower end budget GPUs, for compatibility reasons of Office Users.
but with the DVI it's working with 144 Hz so that's fine for me
Well something wrong with the monitor if you can't access 144hz with DP, but at least you got one thing working on it.
Optimal Resolution Recommended 1920x1080@144Hz (144Hz requires DisplayPort capable gfx card or DVI-Dual Link)

Then in games, ensure they are set to Full-Screen, then change the game refresh
There are no other entries for that monitor that support other ports @ 144Hz.
As there is AOC G2460P and AOC G2460PGU
Both have very similar specs; however the PGU is a little better and also allows 144Hz via DP
But their DataSheet speaks for both "P" and "PGU" which is why it was confusing
