X-Arcade Dual Joystick

I am seriously considering purchasing an X-Arcade Dual Joystick to play classic games and pinball. I'm concerned about the uniformly bad reviews regarding customer service. Does anyone have one?

I can understand your concerns with that - their service looks utterly awful. I might suggest buying an alternative brand. Is there a reason you need a dual stick set-up? Using two single ones should still work just fine (and if you're worried about compatibility, you can also get software which makes Windows think that your two joystick devices are actually just one device).

I would like to play games that use both joysticks simultaneously, such as Robotron, Space Dungeon, Crazy Climber, and Black Widow, and I would also like to play modern twin-stick shooters such as Geometry Wars, WE ARE DOOMED, and the upcoming Shwip. The setup has to be heavy enough so that it does not move around during intense gameplay. I have huge but unfortunately light fightsticks from Hori that one would think are sufficient for gaming, but even these sticks move during very light gameplay, making them unusable.

Ah, I see... You couldn't stick those sticks down to stop them from moving?
I think what you're looking for could be considered kind of niche, you can pay a lot of money for a set or you could build your own. eBay has kits on there which include everything you need (all cable looms, circuits, joysticks, buttons etc) and all you need to do is provide the panel - simple enough to build from wood and just drill holes for the components. Alternatively, you can also buy the panels but they might cost you a bit more.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I have the Thrustmaster T.1600M Space Sim Duo and they've been pretty sturdy for me - although they're more like flight sticks rather than arcade joysticks.

After reading those reviews - there is no way I would by anything from X-Arcade. There is no excuse for a company that does not stand behind an expensive product, let alone insult customers asking for help.

Pretty good deal on this Mayflash Arcade Stick[www.amazon.com] for $37, just get 2 of them and fix them to an old shelf.

Dear Elk Cloner and Talby, I appreciate your input. I have a large number of joysticks, gamepads, trackballs, steering wheels, etc., including flight stick and two Mayflash Arcade Stick lookalikes. I just think the X-Arcade offerings would be better because there is no need to do anything yourself, but unfortunately there is the customer service issue. Ironically, there are similar large dual joysticks, such as the ones offered by Rec Room Masters, that are more expensive and have no warranty.

There was a sale for $30 off over the weekend so I decided to buy the X-Arcade Dual Joystick. It will arrive later this week. It was $99.99+shipping. I can live with that.
