No way. Partpicker will tell you if certain parts arent conpatible, as well as a compatability filter for parts :)

No way. Partpicker will tell you if certain parts arent conpatible, as well as a compatability filter for parts :)

If you have a z170 mobo, then anything 6th gen, so i3 6100 through to i7 6700k will fit, or the equivalent from 7th gen with a bios update, though I wouldn't recommend that as some boards require a 6th gen CPU to allow them to update.
