GTX 1050 TI vs R7 370
So I sold my Nintendo Switch (it was just collecting dust), and have a few upgrade options. I was looking at an EVGA 1050 ti SC/SSC as an upgrade from my MSI R7 370 4GB. Would the 1050 ti be an upgrade, or should I spend $300 for a 1060 3GB and 600 watt 80+ bronze PSU from EVGA? I'd prefer to save and buy the 1050 ti but if it isn't going to be an upgrade than I'll spend the extra cash.

System Specs:

MSI Gaming 5 mobo
i5 4590 quad core at 3.3 Ghz with a Hyper 212 Evo cooler
32 GB ddr3
480 watt PSU (Came with the case I bought).

I use the 1050 which is the 2gb version of the graphics card vs. the 1050ti 4gb. The card is well worth the money. If you have extra go with the 1050ti as some future games may want the additional memory boost. Your processor is older than mine but you are running at a slightly higher GHz than what I have which helps boost application performance as well. Eventually what is going to slow you gaming PC down will be the older ddr3 memory format. My guess is with a 1050ti graphics card and current setup. You can get a decent 5 year run on your machine before the game software overides your PC specs.
The 1050ti would be a nice upgrade around %30
Thanks for the quick reply! If the 1050ti is an upgrade, than that's what I'll spend my money on. Greatly appreciate the feedback.

I should have added that I primarily play indie games and esports titles, so as of now I doubt I will need anything more powerful than the 1050ti for a little while.

PSU came with the Case? Yea ditch that ASAP, those are always junk PSUs.

SeaSonic 520W would be plenty for any CPU + GPU you end up using for the most part.

I would not go below a 1050 Ti 4GB; not worth it.

I did originally have a 750 watt, however my brother upgraded his GPU to an RX 480 so I let him have it to power his card, knowing that I would eventually get a new one. How much would the SeaSonic be, and does it have an 80+ verfication?
you might wanna save for the 1060. also just a tip, since you got 32gb of ram you should try using a ramdisk with some of your games, it should make loading times much faster than an ssd
