Please Help! MSI GT70 Dominator LAPTOP Not Charging when plugged in
my laptop has randomnly started to not charge when plugged in starting 2 days ago. The battery icon does not have the plug symbol and the laptop is running solely on the remaining charge it has left but is not even registering the a/c adapter when i plug it in. I had managed to get it charging a few times when removing the battery out of the laptop and leaving the a/c adapter unplugged for a few minutes and reconnecting everything but that does not work anymore either starting today. i have replaced the battery recently over 2 months ago with a third part alternative as the manufacturer battery had run out of power after 2.5 years of heavy usage and gaming but i feel as if something is wrong with the a/c adapter as it not registering it all. I am not quite sure what to do as this laptop has never been opened before and my warranty had just expired a few months prior. Any help or insight would be appreciated and i really dont want to open this thing and start tampering around with hardware and soldering unless it is absolutely neccesary. Is it possible that the adapter itself is now the problem and repalcing it could help ? Any responses are greatly appreciated.

I would look to replace the AC power adapter first.
have it checked at service center (may involve paying)

use/borrow from a ffriend another adapter (same brand/model)

If you or a friend has a voltmeter, you can check to make sure the power adapter is outputting voltage. If it is, then it may just be a bad connection to the power jack. You can clean the jack if it is the connection.

You can get a volt meter for like $5 or some places give them for free with purchases like Harbor Freight.
