PDP controller not working for windows 7

[I miss open nets]

So I got a new xbox controller with a usb wire to use for pc gaming, but when I plug it into my window 7 laptop it said that it failed to install the drivers, and I cannot find a way to try again. I have checked and the controller does work when I plug it into my windows 10 laptop. I found the solution, install this drivers, when complete, the controller works fine.
I passed a lot of time searching for this . I expect you can solve with this.

I would caution you not to click on a random Mega link like that. Always get drivers from the original manufacturer, you really don't know what's in a link like that.

I'ts not a random mega link, these drivers are no posted on the official page, i found these drivers in reddit and make a copy to my Mega account. You can analyze with any antivyrus if you want.

woop woop its fixed! from toms hardware these are offical microsoft updates. Just google, download, install, and restart.
As osmium posted, the fix is to install the following 2 updates

Update for User-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685813)

Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685811)

both can be done individually from microsofts website (copy/paste each into google, click the first link and scroll down to "Download the update package now.") or through windows update

I just got one myself, came across the same issue on win7, and if it wasn't THIS post, i wouldn't have found the driver.
