Is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut the best thermal paste?
... that has no risk of short circuiting the motherboard?

It rly doesn't matter a lot what brand.

For the normal use, you will not rly see a big difference.
You could even use the included cooler paste..

They all perform at such a level that you'd see maybe 1 or 2 degrees between the brands.
*minus some low-end.

According to this... I doubt you are into some seriously pc stuff where a better paste is really needed.

No offense.

105W TDP CPU in a small computer case?
BTW my friend put liquid metal in his GTX 970 and it doesn't work any longer. (Can the GPU be delidded too or just for the graphics card cooler? I don't know. We live far from each other and rarely talk. He just mentioned it.)

Of course you can short things with it if you spread it onto the motherboard.

I wouldn't choose it. I would go with a basically non-conductive one. The noctua one or whatever.
Kryonaut isn't conductive, Conductonaut is.
Sorry. I just figured liquid metal.

Uh ya.. means nothing..

I have 140w in a lenovo case with some random oem paste.

Still nothing special to buy a high-end paste or so

GPUs don't have a IHS.

Ok, regardless he put the liquid metal one on his GPU and eventually it broke.

Yeah it's risky with GPUs.

Also most GPU coolers tend to be made out of aluminium which gets eaten by liquid metal through a chemical reaction....

Was there any aluminum on the video card?

Kryonaut is good, but dang over $13 for 1g! 3.5g of GC-Extreme is also $13, and a 20g tube of MX4 is $19 lol... yea I am cheap.

Okay. 105W TDP CPU in a small computer case...

I am using AIO water cooling, and I will overclock the processor

20 gram would be a lifetime of use for me and some of them list a limited storage period for whatever reason.

It doesnt matter what you use i have 3 different cpu's the hottest being the 7700k ive used mx-4 and and kryonaut youll get a bigger temp drop moving a rad to the front intake than you will between these paste. I actually got 2 degrees better with mx-4. On my gpu i got about 1 degree better with kryonaut 1-2c isnt gonna make a difference if ypu wanna see big temp drops on cpu delid put liquid metal on it.
