Video card out of date?
Hi. New to the forum so sorry if this is in the wrong space. Also new to PC gaming.
I was using this site called systemlabrequirements to test if I would be able to run some games before I purchased them. But to my shock, it says my GPU is not good enough for the recommended settings, despite it meeting the criteria.

I'm very confused since I'm not all that knowledgeable of specs and what not yet. I've tried updating my drivers but it says they're all updated. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

R7 200 series is damn old.

You will have a hard time with newer games and a r7.

And don't use crap like systemlabs..

But what about the rest of your pc?

You can use cpu-z to post the full specs.

Dang. That sucks. Well guess I'm just going to have to fork up the cash for an upgrade.

You need to physically look at the gpu r7 200 is a whole series from r7 250 to r7 270 iirc.

I have an r7 265 in my work/downloading x4 965BE tower, r7 265 is better than a GTX750ti

I'm pretty that is error. R7 200 series is supposed to be newer than HD7950 I believe. What game do you tried to playing? You can take look at specs by type "dxdiag" in search box or run

The R9 280 is a re-badged HD7950.

R9 280 is not an re-badged HD7950. I found no source for that. So it is called predecessor

What is the exact model of card that you have? (R7 250? R7 260X?) And what games do you want to run?

Then you didn't try looking hard enough. Or at all.

https://www.anandtech.com/show/7828/amd-announces-radeon-r9-280-radeon-hd-7950b-returns

I'm sorry dude, you're confusing me with this "R9 280 isn’t quite a rebadge of the 7950B" on this source. It is still not an re-badged. Based on rebrand with improved does not mean it is utterly rebadged. Unless AMD website said it. Anyone can wrote review on Anandtech. So there is reason it is called predecessor to HD7950.
