Is anyone having this error on their second gen controllers? [usb device not recognized. (device descriptor request failed)]
I just bought my PS4 controller yesterday and I tried plugging it in my computer. It was just working for a few seconds and then an error came up with "usb device not recognized. (device descriptor request failed)." I tried rebooting windows 10 and it still shows up with an error. I try using DS4windows, scptoolkit, you and sixaxis controller for my phone. All it can do is charge and it doesn't recognize just by connecting by USB. The only thing that works is using Bluetooth. So idk if it's the controller or maybe I should just look inside my computer and see what's going on with my USB connection.

You dont need software, the PS4 controller can be used in any game that supports a Xbox controller if you launch the game via Steam Big Picture-mode.

It could be a cable issue or a driver issue, I am suspecting the latter. Plug in the controller, find it in Device Manager > rightclick and uninstall it > Reboot the PC.

Yea software is not rly needed, plug 'n play.

Maybe the avantree can't handle the ps4 controller, but not sure.
Using the controller with a asus dongle.

So ya maybe, but maybe not.

Anyway here are 6 possible fixes.
