Anything less for gaming at 1080p and you're just throwing away money... as you may have already noticed.
OK so just replace my card with the 1050Ti and maybe upgrade to AMD A10-7700K? Thanks for speedy reply.
i've used it for since I've had my computer and still seems pretty good around the price of 100 USD if you're willing to spend that much on one
The AMD A6 6400K runs on Socket FM2, one of the hardest CPU sockets to upgrade.
The AMD 8300 Eight core uses Socket AM3/AM3+, which is totally incompatible (it will not physically fit in the socket without damaging the chip).
It's not good even for around 100$ there cheaper CPU's that stomp it. Besides it is not really an eight core CPU. Architecture wise it is only a Quad with HT.
However the most important thing: FX are AM3+ socket while the A6-6400K is socket AM2... They are not compatible.
A New platform will be needed so the new Ryzen APU's would be the way to start. However I would aim to the noticeably stronger 2400G if you can.
Edit: It would appear so. (I'm a few weeks behind on general computer hardware news).
Edit 2: The AMD Ryzen 2400G 'Raven Ridge' APU isn't a bad chip...
^This
Let's see...
Your current rig is too weak and not rly for gaming, chances are high the psu is crap too.
And the few ppl suggested crap.
Scratch the 2nd rig, it's crap.. only the 1050 is max. okay. But nothing for your goal.
First one is okayish, but I would change the ram (kingston is okay, but ryzen loves higher mhz) and mobo, asrock.. eh, not a top pick, msi has enough cheap good mobo for the am4.
Your goal is some simulators and triple a games.
Both will not rly do the job fine..
To give you an idea what you min. need/should aim for to enjoy your games.
8th gen i3 / Gtx 1050 ti - £652.73

Ryzen 3 / gtx 1050ti - £635.57

And if the budget allows a ssd for os and apps, maybe few games:
wd green 240gb ~ 60 bucks extra.
Or ~ 70 for a crucial mx300 with 275gb.

Very helpful - thanks.
So if you was me what would you order to increase machine without spending more than £250 total 'ish? and that fits my machine without any issues etc... Ta.
That's enough for a decent 1050ti to give you a nice small boost.
for ~ 6-8 bucks more a decent psu too (depends on your current one)
You are limited coz of the fm2, a new decent socket/mobo, cpu and ram is out of your budget range.
The only option you could use, replace the a6 with a 860k, but tbh that's money u could spent on/save for newer hardware.
Since it's for gaming, I would go with intel coz of the single core performance.
But the £250 are a prob, that's enough for a decent 1050ti and a nice psu or ssd.
And fit, well according to amazon, the pre-built pc has a atx case, so you could basically throw anything in it.
But I would save some extra pennies for an overhaul :s
This search engine looks for computer hardware, you could afford a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB which is a fairly good card/GPU:

Note that whichever route you take (NVIDIA or AMD/ATI) you might need to purchase a better Power Supply Unit (PSU).
