But a + for xbox, more games have 360 support.
I myself hate the Steam controller, no matter how I configure it it is unusable in most games. The Xbox controller I am not a fan of either but it's ok.

but is it better for you? it depends. i'd say the controller has a lower floor, but a much higher ceiling. it's not as easy to use as the xbox controller is straight out of the box. it requires customization to get the most out of it. you'll have to learn how to customize it. there is so much you can do, but reaching a level of mastery will take time.
it has a gyroscope and more buttons than an xbox controller. the trackpads are clickable and feel similar to a laptop touchpad. on the downside, the top bumpers are stiff and raised higher than they should be. i prefer assigning those buttons to the grips. the grip size is better suited to a person with larger hands than smaller.
overall i'd say it's a great option if you enjoy customizing things and don't mind putting in the work. if that sounds tedious and you just want something that works out of the box, then the xbox controller would be the better option.
PS controller is for Asian people with little hands.
XBOX 360 controller is good.
Never tried Steam controller.
Try them all and stick with the one your're most comfortable with. It's kind of trial and error type of situation.
Have to say im glad i did
As long as a game fully supports a 360/One controller theres no need for a steam controller
most games fully support those controllers by default
This is coming from a PlayStation fanboy.....
