Difference between i7-7700 vs i7-8700
7700 is quad core and 8700 is hexa core. Will it make a huge difference when playing games like PUBG?

Well the Aorus live is great. OCing is a bit harder then on Asus boards as you need to find all the features.

For example you have no option to switch from adaptive to fixed voltage Vcore. You need to know that you can go beyond 1.365V only by disabling VT-d...

But beside that they are nice. The Ga-Z370X-Gaming 7 is OK now everyone I didn't switched to Coffee Lake because this is currently the best Aorus board. I'm a fan of the Gaming 9 & 8 because they have good soundcards build in with AmpUp to support 600 Ohm (SB ZxR for Z270).

PS: never said all gigabyte boards are bad, just that particular one. The good ones are the old G1 and now the Aorus line. With an exception of the GA-B250M-DS3H which was and still is one of the best budget boards.

I satked way ebfor if a 7700K isnt even affordable then a 8700K wont be too and he should go with 8600K (which is a 6th core coffee lake as you know)

8700K is already too a dead plattform even if they finally release a B360 MoBo as you already said the next generation which was planned befor coffee lake will sue a different socket. Of course this is the most modern consumer platform by Intel so dead might be the wrong way but we know that it days are coutned too.

Yes 7700K is an obsolete plattform and I agreed to it. But if you cant pay coffee lake platform or already have a LGA-1151 (v1) Board the only cost effiecient way to upgrade without raising the budget massivly. Why do ppl still upgrade on AM3+ or older Intel generations?

I dont say that 7700K will be a good choice in the long term but if you can only afford a 7700 non-K how do you want to afford the Z370 Motherboard + any decent CPU?

I'm not saying anything about your Coffee Lake suggestion, I'm talking all about your Kaby Lake recommendation. 8700K (and its lower end versions) are still being made, while Intel's foundry is working on a new process. So it's not quite "dead" yet, but will be when the new, stronger and lower nanometer 6-core chips release. But I suppose we still got some time till that happens.

Coming back on your 7700K suggestion...

1) He doesn't already have a Kaby Lake motherboard like you suggested.

2) If you can ONLY afford 7700, where does the motherboard for it stand? If you can afford both of those, you could also afford one of the cheaper Z370 boards with something like a 8100.

You mean, Killer audio with swapable op-amp support. AmpUp is just a moniker for it. Personally, I wouldn't use anything that has the "Killer" branding to it. Yes, their op-amps are decent, like the ones on Gigabyte's higher end X299 boards, but I'd personally just stick an external DAC and call it a day. That's just me though. I hate Killer brand.

Killer doesnt make audio devices just Ethernet devices.. Its soundblaster for Z270

My bad, on top of the Gigabyte page it says Killer Audio so I thought it was that:

https://www.gigabyte.com/microsite/357/images/audio.html

Didn't check it more throughly.

I never liked the Killer ethernet. Ive had troubles enough that I removed all but the main driver.

As for boards, Ive had great performance from MSI, although I think 90% of their bloatware is trash, including afterburner.

killer ethernet is great. Its justa s intel with the exeption that you can chose bandwidth priorities for every single program so that you can make sure when playing that you always have enough bandwidth even while downloading.

Also killer ethernet allwos you to use multiple connections at once. you can log into multiple lan and wlan sources at the saem time and either route every program through different connections or use them at once to extend bandwidth. I'm connected not only to my lan but also to my neighbours and have an extended bandwidth with it.

Killer ethernet is junk, nothing more than a gimmick with bloatware drivers that fool kids into believing that they'll get much lower ping using it.

A decent Intel NIC is way ahead of anything Killer makes. Intel always updates their NIC software and their stuff is actually what professionals (and home server people) use.

I had like to see evidence if you have one? Speed is always depend on route, motherboard, port and wire.

You don't get it, do you? Killer CLAIMS of stuff like much lower ping. A NIC won't change your ping by a significant shot over onboard.

Why do you think literally every server uses Intel NICs and NOT a single company server out there with a Killer NIC? Because it's JUNK gimmick NIC, that's why. If you don't even understand such simple thing, don't come to post anything on hardware forums.

I still post haven't I? I have high end ethernal server and it does make difference. Also I think asked for evidence about Killer NIC isn't that hard question and reasonable.

You're still not getting it. Intel NICs are superior to Killer ethernet, they offer more settings, more professional and higher speeds like 10gbit ethernet. Go Google Killer ethernet on Google Images, you will see tons of pics of them claiming getting better ping, which is a BLATANT LIE. NICs DO NOT reduce your in-game ping at all, maybe by 15 ping if you're running a frigging 100 meter ethernet cable that most people don't run at all.

Of course a NIC helps in a high end server environment, you haven't posted ANYTHING regarding Killer outperforming current onboard Intel NICs in THAT case either.

You could buy a cheap Broadcom / Intel NIC that outperforms a Killer easily if you have such setup. Only a fool runs high end server on Killer NIC.

Yeah. So? I have high end server. It made bigger difference between high end server and low end server. It does not look like it is unreasonable to ask for evidence. Really I don't know why.

Ok, look, do you have fiber available on Killer NIC? A big fat NO. Do you have two or quad ethernet with it? NO. Even higher than 1gbit, like 5gbit? Again, another NO.

I don't know what you consider to be a "high end" server and I highly doubt YOUR server is high end by my standards given that you would seem to be fine with a Killer ethernet in it.

Where is this "bigger" difference killer made in your server, compared to Intel ethernet? Please show me the examples. Because you ask for something so silly so many times, I will give you the evidence you don't show me:

http://img.ncixus.com/images/53495_3.jpg

Will you get 10 TIMES faster networking performance with a Killer NIC compared to an Intel? Here, another giant NO.

How many more no's you need to understand that Killer ethernet is lame nonsense?

I would go with the i5-8600k and Aorus Ultra Gaming board deal at Memory Express canada, I believe its around $430ish CAD which is about 390ish USD.
Also the 8700k only has more threads and 8600k is more powerful than 8700 and 7700k.
Though I don't know if Memory Express ships to where you are.

Then why my high end server are faster than low end server? And no it is not fiber, it is ethernet. I'm live proof. Can't change, sorry. All I did was asked for evidence to see if that is true. So why should I prove evidence too?

Here one for you.
