Are there any legit ways to increase your CPU performance?

Hello so i have an I3 7100 2 cores 4 threads 3.9 GHz. Are there any legit ways to increase its speed? I am not talking about overclocking/

So i noticed an aplication CPUCores :: Maximize Your FPS. I have seen reviews that say this is ♥♥♥♥ but also a lot of reviews that say this is very good so i dont know actualy what to believe? It is worth it? I was thinking of buying it and then test some games and if it dont increase my CPU performance just refund it.

Also someone sayd to me that even if it says i have 2 cores, there are 2 more that are innactive and he sayd if i want better performance to activate them from system configuration, but is it safe? Are there any downsides to this?

Are their any worth optimizer tools? I use revo uninstaler to uninstal and clean junk files and karspersky to update software, repair windows and stuff like this and i was thinking of downloading driver booster 5 also.

I mostly keep my windows clean, i start up only with antivirus(karspersky) and i even deactivated some windows services. All drivers updated.

Also . I have an windows 7 and i keep get messages that windows 7 is not compatible with my I3 but it ways that i just dont receive important security updates not that i have decreased performance. Is there a real problem?

So can someone help me?

some CPUs can be 'overclocked' . meaning they run at higher speeds, leading to more performance..

most, if not all, AMD cpus can be overclocked. unfortunately, only "K" intel cpus are officially capable of being overclocked...

No.. You can not download a magic program that makes your PC run faster.

Magic does not exist.

But your CPU is fine. No need to worry about it's performance.

You only have 2 cores and 4 threads. You don't have 2 magic cores which are "hidden" from you for some random evil reason.

Don't use crap programs like Revo. Windows has all this stuff build-in.

Running apps like Ccleaner to remove .temp files isn't going to make your PC run any faster.

You can't even OC.

Leave your PC as-is. Don't screw around with it, leave everything to default unless you know what you are doing. You are not going to make it run faster, al you are doing is risking breaking your OS and messing up your drivers.

Well gaming. On the website can you run it it sayd i cant run some games in minimum because of the procesor like Hunt Showdown.

4 logical cores. "Threads".

Don't touch it, leave it to stock. Do you really think that these thousands of Windows developers are so stupid that they configure something in the worst and crappiest possible way? Do you really think that ticking a box somewhere is going to make your games run any better?

It doesn't work like this. And all these articles and Youtube videos talking about it are nothing but clickbait.

OC will improve gaming depending on the OC up to 15-25% increase in performance. Not that it matters as he can't OC a 7100 not even through BLCK or Voltage.

Dual Core with HT isn't terrible... Can play every game just fine.

2c/4t does take a beating these days, i3 7100 and i3 6100 both have 2c/4t like the G4560.
