Is compressed air in a can good?
For cleaning dust? I’ve seen them for sale, wondering if they’re any good

Yes, just make sure you don't damage any parts.
Yep, just don't shake it or something like that
Yep, safe. Just don't go nuts spraying a ton. Little amounts at a time.

I assume so but it cost 70 sek for a can and a footpump with steel tube for bicycles and such cost the same price and the footpump for airmadresses I bought cost 80 and the double steel tube footpump cost 150.

Which all is like 8-10 usd for can and the cheaper footpumps.

For 25-100 usd you can get an electronic air blower and at whatever prices an air compressor.

I don't know how well the tire pump blows but the air matress pump blow pretty decent but likely less than compressor or can. Cheaper though.

Double:

Don't know how much air they move. Maybe more pressure than volume.
May work good. Kinda wish I bought one.

Electric:

This is what I bought:

Something like this is made for the purpose:

Air when compressed becomes a liquid, when using cans of compressed air, fire in short bursts at a distance of about 12" and do not use the can upside down. Before using inside a computer test the can first to see if it spits, some cheaper air cans can spit quite badly and you don't want that all over your expensive computer components.

Also leave the computer off for a couple of hours after spraying it inside to allow any (if any) liquid to evaporate and when cleaning fans. Also hold the fan blades in place with a pencil or some masking tape to make sure the air burst does not spin the blades as this can damage the fans and in some extreme cases your motherboard (if they are connected directly to the mobo).
Give it a quick squirt before using on any PC because moisture can build up. And do not throw the cam out when it stops...the propellant inside it has to warm up after use.
You are paying for air. Empty shampoo bottle with hole in the cap will do the same thing and doesnt cost you anything.

Just:steamfacepalm:

I want to see you clean a pc with that. Also you dont pay for air but compressing the air + the tank

Done with this thread, methinks!

Been doing that half my life, my first PC is still in working order. :hmm:

Isn't it either the carbohydrates in the can itself which condenses due to the pressure drop or is it because of the pressure drop and coldness of them that water vapor in the air condenses or what happens?
I assume the pumps and compressors may not cause this?

I had just use mouth and vaccum but it of course give spit and water vapor, possible esd and doesn't as higher pressure would at all.

I’m not liking the idea liquid could come out at any point, maybe I’ll invest in an electric air blower

Is this a joke?
My other hobby is repairing old watches a simple blood pressure bulb is all that is needed to blow the pieces clean. Heck i evan taken a vacuum cleaner to my rigs. Used to use pure R12 freon till they outlawed it. If you like canned air go for it . So much knowledge so little wisdom,
