Windows 10 LTSB + Intel 8th gen CPU
Is there anyone, who run this win 10 version on coffee lake 8700k CPU? How it is? It's officially unsupported and I want to be sure it works or not.
Planning my upgrade and don't want to use win 10. but have to.. :(

' It's officially unsupported'

Not sure where you got that piece of information...
Intel 8th gen and AMD Ryzen supports officially only Windows 10. Earlier OSes are expected to work, but don't await official support.

What is ltsb?
Low tolerance silent battle?

I mean I could find only Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB v.1607, which supports CPUs up through the Intel 7th Generation.
8th Gen and Ryzen support were added in v.1703.
So I'm looking for any Coffee Lake or Ryzen owner using Win 10 LTSB.
You'll be bettter off using Windows 10Pro in stead of Enterprise LTSB. Enterprise LTSB is meant for major businesses.

1703 is older than 1706.
1703 is Anniversary update, 1706 is Creators Update, the current branch is 1709, Fall Creators Update.
I know guys, but ltsb is the only win10 version without all that annoying features which are pissing off and keeping me on win 7 still.
And it still supports the CPU you want to use. So, where the hell is your problem?

1709 is a vast improvement over previous editions.

The LTSB version of Windows 10 is meant for running things like cash registers and ATM's. Windows XP Professional had an Enterprise Edition that does the same thing. Those "annoying" features in non-LTSB include free non-intrusive yet powerful AV software and security patches against Petya and NotPetya...

Ah, Windows Defender, literally spyware. Not even talking about all other forced telemetry in win10 home/pro.

ya know all that "telemetry" stuff got ported over to 7/8/8.1 too?
nothing you do online is private.

Windows Defender is fine with Malwarebytes, every AV/AM could be considered "spyware" i suppose.
