Can’t Enter BIOS

I’m trying to overclock my computer, but for some reason my BIOS won’t come up. I recently bought the HP Pavilion Power Gaming Desktop 580-023w, and I’m trying to get more frames out of my computer. I have tried restarting and hitting the “delete key” multiple times, but nothing will show.

Do you even have the cooling capabilities and the right cpu/mobo to OC?

My computer has a Nvidia GTX 1060 with a Intel I5-7400, and multiple ways to stay cool.

Well, the i5-7400 is locked, meaning, as far as i know, it can’t be OC’ed. And all computers have multiple ways of keeping cool, it depends on how well of a job they do at it.

It is a long time I had access to a HP PC but I remember the key being F10. Every manufacturer has a different BIOS access key.

Hm, every computer i can recall booting up had F10 as the BIOS key.

My laptop uses F10. 1 of my PCs uses F10 and the other DEL.

You don’t OC the gpu through the BIOS, use something such as MSI afterburner, and make sure it can properly cool itself and can actually provide the power for the OC.

Guess i learned something new then, i’ve always remembered seeing both DEL and F10 being keys on the same computer.

I don’t OC so im not an expert, but i recall people saying to use afterburner or other software to OC the GPU. But the BIOS for the CPU.
