Would ReactOS be a good alternitive to Windows 10 and Linux for gaming?
It is important to note that ReactOS is based on NT technology, it is designed to replace Windows and still run the software that Windows runs. If you go on youtube you can see it run some games.

What are your thoughts?

ReactOS if I recall is heavily based around WINE for compatibility. Not to mention it's early in development. If you want to replace Windows 10, a Linux distribution would be better equipped to do so.

Besides, for running games, I'd say Ubuntu is probably better due to the native steam client + Steamplay Proton.

ReactOS hasn't stolen anything.

Some people don't want tons of spyware in their OS. #CallMeParanoid #FreeSoftware

Seriously there isn't much you can do about "spyware" in Operating systems. Even if you are on Linux, government actors are now targeting firmware of devices and there is nothing you can do about the backdoors they install. Just recently 2 universities published in conjunction a way to eavesdrop on peoples conversations using a hard-drives error reporting capabilities.

If I was worried about firmware I can easily grab a old Core2 Lenovo IBM/Thinkpad and libreboot it.

Microsoft open sourced their Windows calculator a week or so ago. Everything you type in to it is sent to Microsoft. Just as an exemple on how far this stuff goes.

windows 10 is the way to go, when windows 11 releases i will use that

Microsoft said a long time ago that there won't ever be a Windows 11, so good luck with that.
