Blue Yeti problems.
I have the Blue Yeti microphone, and I've bought a shock mount, an arm, and pop filters... I keep the mic positioned right above my monitor so around 2 1/2 feet away off my desk, ZERO gain, on cardioid, OBS filters such as compression, noise gate and a few others.. my noise gate open threshold is on -25.00 dB which is nearly the maximum before the mic stops picking up my voice, and the close threshold is on -32.00 dB, and yet it STILL picks up my keyboard noise.. I admit having cherry mx blue switches aren't going to help since they are probably the loudest, but it's all I have and I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I could do to stop or lessen the keyboard noise.

I know people say the optimal position is a few inches from your face speaking directly into the mic, well that's good and all except the fact that I do not like having the arm blocking my view, or in my view at all, so I keep it above my monitor which works well except for the keyboard noise.

Here is one of my videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMUAWpScmKY&t=18s

you can hear what I mean most of the time in the video... and it's not like you can only hear it only as I'm speaking, but the mic will pick it up anyway...

I have the same problem
Try installing the rubber o-rings to your keyboard. You can get a full set rather cheap online, such as Amazon
Try keeping the mic a bit closer to your mouth with the same gain, the keyboard should be less noticeable than before.
And don't attach any part of the mic setup to the main desk/table that the keyboard is on

I've thought about that before... but ive got a shock mount, and i don;t have anything else to tighten the arm to lol any ideas? I know I could get a boom stick mount but I'd rather not
Do you have a mechanical keyboard?

Yeah with cherry mx blue switches.. which are probably the loudest...
Best bet to start with would be installing the rubber o-rings on your key caps

It's not the bottoming out that's the problem (Because that's all O-rings stop) it's the physical click of the switch, I know because I have the same problem with my mic (albeit, a different mic), and I've got 2 o-rings on every keycap, and it still picks up clicks from my keyboard (Razer Green switches, equally loud to Cherry blues.)

Still O-rings improve the typing on the keyboard.
They buy a quiet keyboard. It's really the only option as messing with the noise gate any further will mean having it not picking up your voice unless you basically yell just to talk.

I will say this, hearing those loud keyboard has made me just stop watching certain live streamers I used to love... and I'm not the only one. It's extremely annoying to hear that through out a stream. Now if you make videos for youtube and we only hear is sometimes, no biggy.

Yeah, I'll definitely consider buying a quieter keyboard sometime in the future
