Need help with compatibility on new pc specs
So my current PC Specs are
CPU - AMD FX-6300
Motherboard - ASRock 760GM-HDV
Memory - 16GB DDR3 Ram
GPU - Radeon RX 560

This was a prebuilt purchase when i was kinda younger and didnt want to wait for all the parts to get here for building a pc so i went ahead and bought a prebuild one (rookie mistake)

But now i want to upgrade my Fx-6300 processor to a ryzen 5 2600 and my GPU to a gtx 1060

The only problem im having is i am not sure if my ram / motherboard is compatible with the ryzen 5 2600, if theres anything you guys can help me i would greatly appreciate it :)

To add to it i just checked and 1 ram stick came with the pre-build and the other i stuck in from an old workstation

Ram stick 1 (came with pc) is manufactured by GEIL and has 800 MHz
While the second one is manufactured by Kingston and has 667 MHz

Is there any problem with the 2 different ram sticks?

you'll need a new motherboard and ram to run a ryzen 5

they use DDR 4 not DDR 3 ram plus the socket is different for the CPU

Okay so thats what i was confused on, i didnt know if my motherboard had compatible sockets for the ryzen, do you recommend any (affordable) motherboards and ram sticks?

dunno i'm the worst person to ask that question .. i like Intel not AMD for my systems and ASUS motherboards

best guess AMD B 450 /470 mainboard and a new ryzen like the 3600 and at least 16 gig ddr 4 ram at least and buy fast ram like 3200

i'm still using an Intel i 5 7600 K OC to 4.4 ghz and it works fine for me on my asus rog strix Z 270 board with a GTX 1060

if i went AMD yes i'd get a ryzen 3600 and this board

760g is not a fx am3+ board, its designed for am3 aii/pii cpus not fx
its bios is modded to run fx at nerfed specs

fx is nearly 10 years old at this point, look for a newer build
current i3 will run circles around fx6-8

Also since the ram is out the way i need a new motherboard to be compatible with the ryzen chip, any recommendations? everyons says a B450

if your not gonna overclock get a decent B 450 board then .. gigabyte is a brand i also use alot and have had zero problems with .. everyone hates ASUS boards .. i have always had good luck with them

for your motherboard shop around and check things like the options you need like built in wifi .. better sound chip or more usb ports .. they vary model to model
