Steam Link Options- Visio Smart TV

Heyo, I'm a casual gamer/not very tech saavy person trying to play steam on my Visio Smart tv (P55 F-1). I just figured out that I can't get Steam Link directly through the smart tv since it's not an Android, IOS, etc. tv. What are my options other than getting a different tv? Can I buy a physical apple tv, nexus, or NVIDIA box that is compatible with my tv since the physical steam link is no longer available?

Or should I give up entirely since my gaming desktop is in another room? FWIW I don't typically play online games so I thought streaming might work, but again I don't understand enough to really know. Will I need a super long HDMI cable either way?

If you have a laptop connect it to the TV and login to your Steam account on it, that will allow you to stream games from the desktop to the laptop by launching them from Steam on the laptop.

Alternatively you can buy a Raspberri Pi and install the Steam Link app on it. A 1GB Raspberri Pi 4 costs around $40 + $20 for cables, a power supply and storage.

pi, android box, htpc, or smart tv with steam app

if the tv has a usb port, it can power the pi3+
youll only need a usb keyboard/mouse and hdmi cable for it
and you can set it to run steam on boot and connect
