Dell - S2417DG Doesn't Save Screen Settings
All of a sudden when I turn my monitor back on it starts cycling colors on the screen from red, green, blue, and white until the Dell logo shows up, but the settings somehow have been resetted, and the screen at this moment blinds me.

My settings were 60% Brightness, 45% Gamma, Overclock Enabled to 165FPS, and Preset Modes for Color was RTS or RPG Game.

Then contact Dell and explain the issues; request replacement under warranty.

You need to actually explain how the settings are simply not saving.
That's not really something WE can do; you have to deal with DELL

I just got this monitor and it does the same. Unless the one I got is one you returned. That'd be funny.

"The best fix i found was to uncheck both checkboxes and then close the factory menu, after that I turned off "monitor deep sleep" under "others" in the osd menu."

Some Monitors will ship with DEMO MODE Enabled.
Disable this first and then it should save your changes as expected.

yea one samsung tv, had issue of reverting to defaults every hour or so, it was in demo mode

I remember buying ASUS Monitors many years ago and had a big sheet taped to the plastic bag that the Monitor was covered in; telling the user to disable the demo mode in the Display OSD Menu once you got it up and running.

Displays tend to come with Demo Mode Enabled from Factory so a store-front can just power it on for in-store display purposes and not have to configure anything.

Yea seriously; 24 inch should use 1920x1080 or 1920x1200

1440p is more suitable on 27 inch or higher.

But that particular Dell model of 24 inch 1440p does have a very nice pixel ditch; providing a very crisp picture overall.
