You need to actually explain how the settings are simply not saving.
That's not really something WE can do; you have to deal with DELL

Disable this first and then it should save your changes as expected.
Displays tend to come with Demo Mode Enabled from Factory so a store-front can just power it on for in-store display purposes and not have to configure anything.
1440p is more suitable on 27 inch or higher.
But that particular Dell model of 24 inch 1440p does have a very nice pixel ditch; providing a very crisp picture overall.
