Is 40c normal on my CPU on idle?
Hi guys,
I have a I3 7100 and I recently purchased it an aftermarket cooler: a Gammaxx 400 and set up a push and pull fan config.

I'm not overclocking it I just purchased the cooler becuase I feel the stock cooler is too simple.

I'm getting 35c to 40c on idle, around 45c doing a moderate use of the PC (watching videos, stream, browsing the internet) and 65c to 66c on games.

Are those temps normal? Having in mind I live in a warm zone 22c to 26c ambient.

I'm making this thread cause I feel those temps might be a little warm having in mind the I3 7100 is not a power beast and is using a aftermarket cooler.

Thank you,

all that really matters is the CPU & GPU are below 80-85*C when under full loads.
32-40*C is normal; of course.
Even when my room temp is nearly 38*C; I get that with idle temps; it has to be rather cold in my rooms to get idle temps of around 28-32 areas

Perfectly fine temps, no need to freak out over this.
